Dear Friends,

The time has come to close the doors on B-Side BBQ. We had a good run lasting over three years. Phil and I want to thank all of you for your support and love of our little barbecue joint.  We don’t want you to fret, though. Big, exciting changes are happening at 3303 San Pablo Ave! The barbecue may be leaving for now, but we’re not going away.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Brown Sugar Kitchen’s “rock star” baker, Celeste Scottin opening B-Side Baking Co. this spring! Many of you are already familiar with Celeste’s amazing creations. I sincerely believe she is one of the absolute top bakers in the bay area. Trust me…I’ve been around.

A little backstory. Phil and I had been recently thinking about the challenges of B-Side BBQ, and we’ve also been noticing that our baking program is busting at the seams at BSK. We know that there are few spots to enjoy a relaxing mocha and croissant in our neighborhood. Suddenly, the vision was clear and we asked Celeste to take over the B-Side BBQ space. To say that everyone involved is excited is an understatement. We’re beyond thrilled to have Celeste create her irresistible sweet and savory magic in that space. And, yes, there will finally be coffee (and a whole lot more) at 3303 San Pablo Ave. We can’t wait!

B-Side Barn will continue next door, and Phil has some amazing shows he’s putting together in March/April. We feel that the bakery/cafe and event space will compliment each other quite well.

Again, thank you for your support of B-Side BBQ, and we’ll keep sending you details about B-Side Baking Co. as we move forward. Yes, you will see the brisket again. Down the road.
